Quick two cents. I have no idea what happened in Furgeson as I was not there but I believe whether or not Michael Brown was murdered or killed by an officer in self defense I think there are some things we need to learn. One, all police need to help rid their departments of idiots who abuse their power. A probable minority makes it hard for the vast majority of men and women simply trying to do their job to do so effectively. Two, ridding your departments of idiots may lead to a regaining of public trust in places were that trust has been lost. This will lead both to more cooperation from the residents and hopefully less danger for the police as the residents wont see you as the enemy. Three, we the citizens of the U.S. need to help our police rid their departments of these idiots by supporting the good ones. Its true none of us want to see flashing lights while driving but if we try to remember that they are there to protect and serve we might be better off. They are not trying to ruin your day most times just protect us ( yes speed limits are part of that)
