Quiet, unsung heroes--- I first met Matt Kiener when he and his wife Jess and I went horse shopping in Ireland in 2001, and we bought My Boy Bobby for Matt`s employers, the Segals, who now sponsor Buck Davidson. What I didn`t know about Matt is that he personally, on his own time and pocketbook, flies puppy rescues from kill shelters to re-homing shelters. Today he and his Dad, Mike Kiener, flew to So Pines, and I had lunch with them and with Naomi Johnson, who runs Adopt Moore Labs. Naomi delivered a mother and seven two week old puppies which she had found at a shelter for Matt to fly back to New Jersey this afternoon. They, Matt and Naomi, say that sometimes it feels like so little a stem against the flood of unwanted puppies, but then, this saying: Better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness Can you like Matt`s Facebook page, please?
