Quite a bit of the missional church movement is focused on hurrying up and getting out into the world. No wonder missional church, for all its attractions, can make us feel tired. One of my favorite priests ever was the parish priest in Edgerton, WI. He basically never left the church building. People came to him (this was also true, incidentally, of Jonathan Edwards, who would sit for ten or more hours a day writing in his study and people would come to him). The priest in Edgerton was beloved. Part of what people loved about him was his availability.
