Quite disappointing dat PHCN remains where it was 10yrs ago. Billions of naira av bn spent on d power sector wtout any meaningful result. Our electricity supply is always on nd off while d neighbouring countries 2 wc we sell our electricity ar enjoying it most. Promises av come after promises wt targets of improvements being gving everyday, vandalisatn of d power lines nd PHCN equipments is on d increase while nothing appreciable is being done 2 curb d activities of d vandals. Worst still, consumers ar heavily billed every mnth despite dat they dont, 4 any moment, enjoy d power supply, our manufacturing industries cld no more rely on regular supplies hence d constant increase in their costs of productn wc eventually results 2 inflatn in d market. What exactly is our govt doing 2 improve dis sector? Privatizatn or no privatisatn, d govt shld take a bold nd immediate step inorder 2 improve our economy 2ru regular electricity supply nd thereby alleviate d sufferings of d hopeless masses.
