Quite often demon oppression is allowed to live in freedom year after year; keeping the body of Christ in varying forms of spiritual bondage. Why does this happen? Part of the reason is due to the unbelief of many evangelicals in the demonic. But it is primarily due to the fact we tend to treat symptoms rather than cutting off the roots. For example, crippling depression may be a symptom of a much deeper root. It continues to cripple because we treat the depression without dealing with the root.
