Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent.-Ayn Rand I think of this when I hear the media, politicians and their enablers ask for sympathy for someone who has committed a heinous act. Why should we expend our sympathies for those who would surely not do the same for us? Where is the relief for a victim or injured party? Who is their cheering squad? Our priorities are skewed. The aggressor has their support system. We should spend more time helping those who are actually aggrieved through no fault of theirs, not soothing the suffering of those who inflict pain.
