Quran 3:185: Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception. So if we were to believe in life after death, then all those children killed yesterday would have gone straight to heaven, without passing any serious tests on this earth. So havent the terrorists done them all a favour by killing them? Because of them they were able to attain the objective of this life so soon. This is the evil of belief in life after death. This is how the terrorists do what they do in defence of their faith. This is how they justify their brutal acts to themselves even though Quran condemns killing of innocent children. All this is enabled by the elasticity of faith. And they do seem to have a point. If we are 100% sure about heaven and that these children are now there, then what are we crying for? We should be happy that they have passed the test. Perhaps it is not in human nature to be 100% sure of anything without evidence.
