RACE #1 BANNON 5 RISING DOUGH 7 ONE BIG GATOR 1 CONGOR BAY 3 SOLO PLAYER CONGOR BAY missed considerable time from August of 2012 through July 1st of this season and when he returned, he was fifth beaten eight lengths without threatening for $23,500; for this return following more time off, he plunges for $7,500; he indicates three works since the beginning of September getting ready for Martin Drexler; leading rider, Contreras has the mount. MACALLAN typically picks route races but will go seven furlongs here for Arthur Silvera; he was in for $9,500 at a route last time when setting the pace; he grew weary in the stretch and was finally unplaced; Husbands takes over. SOLO PLAYER was in a rather tough race last time and had an awkward departure from the gate which spoiled things; the top two have both come back with nice wins; he will be stretching out to seven furlongs where he should have some middle pace contribution. SEPTEMBER SQUARE is getting his first race since July 10th when he was off form after losses in double digits; he worked recently in 49.3 getting ready. RISING DOUGH rarely picks seven furlongs; his last three events have come at six furlongs and he did show some willingness through the stretch last time in a good effort; he rates attention here. GAS N DASH is quite capable of being an aggressive pace contributor here with the stretch out to seven furlongs, a distance he rarely picks; he is seeking a breakthrough victory. ONE BIG GATOR typically lacks the speed of some of these in here but he does like the distance; he will be cutting back from a series of routes in hopes of a late move; Boulanger gets the call; he rates respect.
