Jamie McMurray would roll off from the 23rd starting position driving the No.1 Linksys Chevy SS. McMurray would have to battle back to overcome an early accident and claim his third top-five finish of the 2013 NSCS season with a gutsy performance that resulted in a fifth place finish. McMurray at Dover: McMurray has 21 career starts at Dover International Speedway and has completed 8276 of 8404 (98.5%) laps of competition at the “Monster Mile”. He has one top-five and five top-10 finishes in the “First State” and has never had a DNF (did not finish) at the one-mile, high-banked oval. McMurray has an average start of 16.5 and average finish of 18.7 in those 21 starts. Honoring Heroes: Jamie McMurray will present a $10,000 donation to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) on race day at Dover International Speedway. The donation is on behalf EGR team partner LiftMaster, who will also serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 1 Chevy SS in the AAA 400 Sunday Sept. 29. LiftMaster is supporting the NFFF by making a $1 donation for every “like” (up to 10,000 “likes”) for the NFFF on their Facebook page from Sept. 1 – 28. Monster Club: Jamie McMurray will stop by the Monster Mile Club at Dover International Speedway on Sunday morning at 10:20 a.m. prior to the AAA 400 for a Q&A session with fans. Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team New Hampshire Rewind: Team Target headed back to New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) over the weekend. Only nine races remained in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) schedule when teams entered NHMS. Juan Pablo Montoya qualified the No. 42 Target Chevy SS in the 15th position and battled with handling throughout the 300-lap race to bring home a 19th-place finish. Montoya at Dover: Montoya has made 13 career NSCS starts at Dover International Speedway. He has two top-five and three top-10 finishes at the “Monster Mile” and his best finish of second came in the June 2013 race. His average starting position is 19.2 and his average finishing position is 21.9.
