RADICAL IDEAS Conference: Another World is Possible Introduction to Marxism – So what the hell is Socialism anyway? The state of inequality is growing within Australia and across the world due to the 1% accumulating more and more wealth at the expense of everyone else. This stream will introduce the basic concepts of Marxism equipping activists with the theoretical basis on why inequality occurs in a capitalist system, the economics of capital and its inherent contradictions, an exploration of the philosophy behind social change and class struggle, what is socialism and what would a future socialist world look like, and how can activists organise and be part of the struggle to overthrow capitalism to create a better world for the millions not the billionaires. Join us with other activists in examining the inner workings of the system we live under and take action to create a better world.
