RAGING TIGER LAUNCH Yogesh Mehta of Petrocheme, who loves music - TopicsExpress

RAGING TIGER LAUNCH Yogesh Mehta of Petrocheme, who loves music and has been a consistent patron of many musical and cultural events held in Dubai in the past few years, launched his own events company called Raging Tiger. Joining hands with him in this endeavour are Renuka Singh, who has organised several Jagjit Sngh concerts and various corporate events in the past, Aziz and Laila Merchant who have been the force behind Rangmanch and Amit Pateria, who was previously a stakeholder in Filmfare Middle East but has now decided to devote his energy towards promoting music. With such a formidable team working together, it was but natural that the event be well attended. So we had literally the creme-de-la-creme of the city, the very rich and the very known faces gracing the occasion in their designer best. Among those whom I came face to face were Shireen and Umej Bhatia, the suave Singapore Ambassador to the UAE; the Vaswanis - Sunil Vaswani, Rita Vaswani and Harry Vaswani; Sapna Jeswani and Manu Jeswani, Manoj Godhwani, Khushi Khatwani, Sunil Khoobchandani, Vashi Nandwani, singer Sukhbir and his wife Dimpy, Payal Kapoor Sharma and hubby Arvind, Anu Sippy, Moshe and Rajji Kohli with their daughter Shahzadi, Smita Parikh, Minal Bodani, Sharmela Puri, Jayant Ganwani and many others. Seated at the same table as me were Minal Patwardhan Andrade with hubby Joseph, Aswini Kumar Borkotoky, Dhanraj Poojari, Jyoti Karmali and Anwar Karmali, Poonam and Damu Shewakramani and a couple whom I did not know. The first half of the show was dominated by Rekha Bharadwaj, who sang many of her popular numbers from Bollywood films and captivated the audiences attention. After that it was Pakistani singer Meesha Shafis turn to entertiin the guests. As said earlier, everyone was dressed to the hilt in shimmering, glittering outfits with jewellery and accessories to match. It was evident that each woman had gone through that extra effort to look as attractive as possible. Black was quite the popular colour of the evening with the hosts attired in black ensembles. Even I chose black, not because of the hosts but because I generally go by instinct and this time it told me to wear black. Raging Tiger has promised that it will deliver some outstanding events to the cultural aficionados of the city. Lets hope they come up to the high expectations generated by them at their premiere event. I wish them all the very best in their future projects.
