In other words, has she become the anointed one-and-only Freak Negro outlier, whose aesthetic flawlessness is not to be confused or connected with the ugly, unwashed masses from which she miraculously escaped? According to [white] People [and their] Magazine, are the combination of Lupitas physical attributes and her regal carriage so shocking and so disturbingly extraordinary (I can almost hear Madonna now: Shes very articulate, civilized-acting and pretty, too...in spite of her coal-black skin!) that they (the sole arbiters and architects of who and what can rightly be considered Beautiful) were compelled to offer this dark-skinned, Afrikan woman with the crown of close-cropped, natural hair a *temporary* place at the Masters table? ...I dunno.
