* RANDOM THOUGHTS by Randy G. - Facebook, texting, and online communication have become such a big part of our daily life, that we tend to forget that people dont always get your intended inflection. Five people can read the same sentence, and apply completely different emotions or different levels of seriousness. - Myself... I share my unfiltered thoughts (from this daily, running commentary known as my mind), totally forgetting that they could be taken different ways. For instance, if I say I wanna smack the taste out of someones mouth... theres probably an ounce of truth to it, but at the same time it should totally be taken with a dose of humor. If you know me, you know that Im friendly, light-hearted, and tend to joke (regardless of whether its appropriate or not. Im not always politically correct. I dont want to be). If you dont know me, and read my random thoughts on a regular basis, hopefully you eventually get me. Just because I randomly express a thought, doesnt mean Im sitting here with my fists clenched in anger, or I would jump in the car and go ring someones bell. Its more or less meant to be taken as a tongue-in-cheek commentary. Basically, if youre going to visit my page (or read my column, etc.) just lighten up. Im not so heavy on the seriousness. I dont necessarily want to be taken seriously. You are more than welcomed to use your own page as a soapbox... promote your chosen ideas, pray, endorse your candidate, take up your causes, rant your rants, sling mud, take your quizzes, or post cute pictures of kittens. Not a thing wrong with that... at all. Its all good. I choose to be me, occasionally talk about snacks or Sci-fi, and ramble on about many things (whether anyone is listening or not). I find it cleansing.
