RE: MAKUENI REFERENDUM SHOULD DECIDE THE GOVERNANCE OF THE COUNTY; NOT OUTSIDE FORCES. We voted for the MCAs to plan, guide, organize and control the affairs of Makueni county for the benefit of mwananchi. So far, they have been sleeping on their job. We have tried to follow their performance with some interest but, we have found to our utter dismay that they have not been able to spell out their work with as much vigour as they are dully bound to do. Naturally, the citizens of Makueni are disturbed by this extreme lethargy on their part. There is information that Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is heading to Makueni to mediate both sides of the divide.We have seen that the MCAs are in for selfish interests; they want to have good harvest before their term ends. I believe the best prize we can award to these MCAs is to send them parking. I do respect what Kalonzo is doing, but can hyenas stay in one house with goats. What was witnessed during the shooting proved that Makueni county need an overhaul as proposed by the Governor. Negotiation and mediation holds no water at all. We are in a serious time; the mediation being spare headed is like a case where we are asking the monkey to make a decision on forests where it lives. The monkey will always decide in favour of the forest. What am driving at? I mean we are tired of these MCAs. The best option is not to have mediation for them to work together, but to support referendum to teach them a lesson. We are tired of seeing rot being sown, weeded and watered under our watch!
