READER QUESTION: My daughter, who is 17, has a boy friend (her first) who is a sweet, respectful, Godly young man. He does not live near us, so they dont see each other often, and when they do, its a whole family deal--no going off together alone. His mother does not appear to like us, as she has made comments that sound very disdainful. She also is very stand-off-ish. There are a couple of concerns I need to discuss with her, but she has made it clear that she does not wish to have anything to do with me. Has anyone else experienced anything similar (almost a jealousy on a young mans Moms part), and how did you handle it? Im unsure how to approach her after being put in my place by her. Thank you.
