REAL TALK - What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. The pride of your heart has deceived you. The fear of the Lord hateth evil: I hate arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue. "Perversity of mouth" is fraudulent, deceitful speech; that which twists, distorts, perverts, or misrepresents what is true, (Note on proud) Know-it-all Attitude: arrogant, haughty, overbearing, disdainful. . . . showing or feeling superiority toward others. Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. A fool’s mouth lashes out with pride, but the lips of the wise protect them. "Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord". (Proverbs 16:5) If you are proud, God will fight against you, He will oppose you, He will resist you! Does it sometimes seem to you like that it what is happening in your life? Maybe God is resisting you - maybe you are proud! At least keep an open mind on the possibility. "If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if your heart is full of pride, you only will have the pain of it." Proverbs 9:12 "Send away the man of pride, and argument will go out; truly fighting and shame will come to an end." Proverbs 22:10 might not see it but the next step that comes after pride is a huge fall...destruction. Watch your own heart; keep it within the right boundaries!
