RECEIVE AND WELCOME THE WORD So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted (in your hearts) contains the power to save your souls. James 1:21 - The Word of God, has the power to saves us from a life of sin, but only as it is received, welcomed, and implanted and rooted in our hearts (minds). - This implanting and rooting take place through attending to Gods Word - by having it on our minds more than anything else. - If we meditates on our problems all the time, we will become more deeply rooted in them. - If we meditate on what is wrong with ourselves or others, we will become more deeply convinced of the problem and never see the solution. There is truly life in the Word of God.
