REFUSE TO BE SILENCED!!! Some years ago, certain laws were enacted in some parts of the United State that mandated racial segregation in all public facilities. These laws gave a new status to African Americans that stated that they were Equal but Separated. As a result of this laws, African Americans were legally exempted from a number of economic, social and educational benefits, intermarriage was forbidden and business owners and public institutions were mandated to keep their black and white clientele separated. it was illegal for white nurses to work in hospital wards where blacks were admitted. Public buses had separate spaces for white and black folks. it was illegal for restaurants to serve white and black folks in the same room. Employees had to provide separate toilet for both black and white people. If a black man sleeps in the same house with a white woman for a long period of time, they would be imprisoned. it was so terrible that no pastor was allowed to bury a dead black man or woman on a piece of land alloted for burying a white man or woman. It is a POPULAR STORY but DARK SEASON and it lasted for many years. But one day, things began to change: on December 1, 1955, a lady called Rosa Park a 42 years old African American, refused to continued to remain silent in the face of oppression. she was travelling in a bus and was seated on a row of seats along with 3 other black folks. a white man entered and there was no seat for him. The bus driver came to ROSA PARKs row and asked all the 4 black people to get up so that the white man could sit. ROSA PARKS REFUSED TO GIVE UP HER SEAT. She was arrested and convicted for vilating the laws of the land. But she appealed her conviction and by that action, CHANGED THE PREVAILING SATANIC LIFESTYLE OF THAT TIME. TODAY THINGS. Today things have change completely and indeed a black man, a man whose father was born in Kenya, is sitting as the President of the Uniited State of America. When you stand on what you believe in, you can change the world.
