REMEMBERING CAPTAIN ONE YEAR AFTER HIS PASSING AS A RESULT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY Dear friends of Captain, A good friend of Captain had an idea that I think is just wonderful. She suggested we honour Captain on the one-year anniversary of his passing (July 19) by contributing our thoughts, artwork, links to stories, poems, photos, or anything else you would like to share to remember Captain. I have thus created an “event” for this purpose. She would particularly like to see children involved in this endeavour, so please consider assisting them with creating something in memory of Captain. Sketches, sculptures, poems, paintings, or anything else that is created can be photographed and uploaded here so the works will be available for viewing by all of Captain’s friends in perpetuity. If you simply wish to type something in the event that is just fine, too. Thank you for remembering Captain, and please feel free to share this "event"! Although he was a victim of animal cruelty, Captain has generated a great deal of positive action and I think it is appropriate to honour him in celebration on July 19, 2013. For Captain and all other abused animals we hope to help in the future in Captain’s name.
