REMEMBERING ….. NORTHCOTE CONCRETE Urgently driving from the Saturday arvo Club race to the night open at Northcote, hoping for a warm fast night. Parking in your favorite spot right on the fence and often being alongside the same metro or country riders that also liked their same spot each week. The convenience of having your personal shelter, bike, wheels, rollers, food and drink, all at hand. The friendly intermingling of riders, family, and spectators. And on the big nights, if you wandered from your viewing position, you lost it ! Such was the atmosphere of a bygone era.
