REPOST FROM Arthur Tariman: BELATED EXPLOSIVE INCIDENT REPORT 30 Oct 2014 Travellers along the Davao-Bukidnon Highway are advised to be extra careful. Shortly before midnight yesterday, 29 October 2014, NPA men fired a roadside IED but missed a 10-man combat police team while travelling along the Davao-Bukidnon Road at Sitio Cabalansihan, Kitaotao town in south Bukidnon Province. The policemen led by a certain PSI CHUA and PI CALUD , all of 103rd RPSC, RPSB-12, PNP, are parts of an AFP-PNP combined force that is hunting down some 100 NPA men who torched P20-million worth of road building equipment and trucks at Sitio Maloos, Brgy Sinuda, Kitaotao about 4pm on 27 October 2014. They were travelling from Brgy Sinuda towards Quezon town onboard a private Isuzu Dmax pick up truck when attacked by suspected combined elements of Front 56 led by a certain @ Nolan and Front 53, both of Southern Mindanao Regional Command, NPA. An armed band believed to be same NPA group that razed to the ground 9 heavy equipment and dump trucks owned by Algon Engineering Co. was sighted at Brgy Lagdecuatro in Quezon about 4pm yesterday, 29 October. Personnel of RPSB10 and 84IB, 10ID PA are hunting down the NPA arsonists. The refusal of Algon Engineering to give in to the NPA extortion demand is said to be the motive of the arson attack. On 25 October, armed men believed to be NPA terrorists also razed some P25-million worth of road construction heavy equipment in San Fernando town in the southeastern side of Bukidnon. Before the twin arson incidents, operating troops of 57IB PA flushed out the elements of Front 53 from their main camp at the hinterlands of Brgy Don Panaco, Magpet town in Cotabato Province.
