REPOST from KERYGMA: A FRIEND OF GOD Jesus looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” And he came down quickly and received him with joy.” – Luke 19:5-6 I received a call from an irritated customer because of his poor Internet connection. I did my best to assist him with his query but all I heard were foul words. He called me horrible things that brought my ego down to the pits. After that call, I was stunned. I talked to my manager about the incident. To my surprise, she told me that she’s had similar experiences, some of which were worse than mine. I clearly recalled what she told me, “Just brush it off and step up.” Then she reminded me that I was one of the top agents in her team. Maybe you have done wrong in the past. You’ve tagged yourself as a nobody, a sinner. You cannot undo your past even if you wanted to. Today, Jesus knocks at your door and calls you friend. Be a Zacchaeus. Invite Him into your heart.
