REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE The Lake Placid Police Department is currently investigating a burglary that occurred at the United Methodist Church located at 500 Kent Avenue sometime before Monday October 22, 2014. The subjects entered the church and removed three industrial sized amplifiers. Two are Crown brand and one is Peavey brand. These are 1000 watt amplifiers used to deliver sound to their sanctuary. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Stuart Troutman at 863-699-3757 or lppd.st@gmail. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Heartland Crime Stoppers at heartlandcrimestoppers or 1-800-226-TIPS(8477). A reward is being offered to anyone who comes forward with information that results in either the return of the amplifiers or a successful arrest of the person(s) who stole the amplifiers.
