RESCUE: This is what rescue is all about...it is not about taking just the well kitties...it is about taking the sick and injured also. I have not made a post about these two kittens because they were near death when they were captured...This is two of the kittens from the elderly ladys house in Mt. Leo...The little grey male could only stand up a few seconds at a time...the little female brown tabby had given up hope & her eyes were sinking in...they both were so weak they wobbled when they tried to walk and fell over...they are about 3 months old...fleas, upper respiratory infections, conjunctivitis and internal parasites were literally eating them alive & killing them slowly...I gave fluids to these two babies for several days along with meds and good food...they were both very anemic from the fleas...their care has taken a lot of time. From the pics I am posting you can see how they looked last week and how they look today! All 8 of the kittens we rescued were sick and are now on the road to recovery...all 8 kittens had never used a litter box so they hid in the litter boxes and pooped on the blankets and wee wee pads...and most of them threw their food out of the bowls...all are doing so much better and learning what to do. One of the black ones even loves for me to pet him now! Thank you again to everyone who helped me capture these kittens and get them to safety, for those who have come over to lend a helping hand here at the sanctuary & to all who donated for their care! Folks, it does not take long for fleas and worms to kill a kitten or a bad eye infection to destroy their eyes...It is just so sad! For now...I need 8 names for these babies...Six males and 2 females! Help us out please with those names and donate if you can!
