RFE: CAP-GAP termination & STEM start date ? OPT/CPT Blast Resume to 2500+ employers via bit.ly/18niNwb Hi All, My employer applied for H1-B this year and I got a RFE.My employer is in process of replying to USCIS. My initial OPT will end on July-3rd. So,I have requested my school for OPT STEM Extension I-20 but it shows CAP-GAP period up to October 1st and my STEM extension start date is moved to Oct-1st instead of July-3rd. 1) Can I apply with these recommendation or it needs to be corrected before 2) Can I apply for STEM, will it harm my H1-B that is in process. 3) I know that CAP-GAP will be terminated if H-1 withdraws/denies, if it happens what will be my status between July and October. 4) If any one are familiar with this or in same situation, please let me know what to be done.
