RHAPSODY OF REALITIES BY PASTOR CHRIS AND ANITA OYAKHILOME* DATE● ● ● TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 2014* TOPIC● ● ● The Principle Of Salvation …If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). These verses enlighten us on the basic principle of salvation. The acknowledgementand confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ is the God-ordained way to receive salvation. That’s how to be born again, and receive the life of God. Many today are still like Nicodemus, who came to Jesus by night and asked, “...How can a man be born again when he’s old...?” (John 3:4). Jesus understood his dilemma and replied, “The one who is born of the flesh is flesh, and the one who is born of the Spirit is spirit.” It’s one thing for people to know they have to be born again, and another thing for them to know how to be born again. The Lord Jesus explained it by saying, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). It’s a natural fact that flesh reproduces flesh but Jesus took Nicodemus to a higher level when He said the Spirit, which is the Spirit of God, also reproduces spirits. The Bible describes God as the Father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9), and anyone who is born again is born of the Spirit; his spirit is recreated by the Holy Spirit. So how can one be born of the Spirit? You’re born of the Spirit through the Word of the Gospel—the Word of God (1 Peter 1:23). That’s what we read in our theme scripture. If you would believe in your heart that Jesus died for you, and that God raised Him from the dead by His Spirit, and you confess with your mouth, His Lordship, you’re saved. This Word of salvation, which is thus received into the heart, imparts eternal life. Therefore, with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10). I walk in the reality of my new life in Christ, fully aware that I’ve been justified by faith, and have peace with God, through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. 1 Year Bible Reading Plan: Acts 2:1-21, 2 Chronicles 5-7 2 Year Bible Reading Plan: 2 Corinthians 1:12-24, Ecclesiastes 11-12 FOR MORE INFO VISIT: rhapsodyofrealities.org FOLLOW PASTOR CHRIS: yookos OR yookos.mobi
