RIBBONS! Chip and I won a BUNCH of ribbons at the Get yer Game On trail/obstacle contest this morning in Peculiar, MO! Clinic/coaching yesterday from Jenny & Tony Vaught, then competition today. The classes: --stick-to-me barrel race (from the ground at liberty), --on-line put your horses foot on the plate (the judge chooses which foot), --REINLESS figure-8 around the barrels, --how-SLOW-can-you-go without stopping RACE!, --sidepass over a pole, back around a barrel, open gate with your riding partner without tearing the TOILET TISSUE youre holding between the two of you! --Judge says (like Simon says) with a cup filled with water ask your horse to go the speed the judge chooses: walk, faster gait/trot, stop, backup, reverse, turn on the fore, turn on the haunches! - rider with most water remaining in cup at the end WINS! We were this close to winning! Dagnabbit!
