RICK SCOTT vs. CHARLIE CRIST Florida Governors Poll Finds Rick Scott Lagging Behind Charlie Crist: Open Letter to the Revolt and all Floridians. To my fellow Floridians, we have lived through the administrations of both Charlie Crist and now Rick Scott. We have seen two totally different leadership styles and the results speak for themselves. Charlie Crist, when faced with a growing force of the electorate wanting tax cuts, did not stand up to them and say NO! Tax cuts would have an adverse affect on many city governments throughout Florida; instead he chose to not make a decision at all and put the choice up to a vote. The choice was: Do you want a tax cut for yourselves? Surprisingly you voted YES! OK, that was not a surprise, and he would have gotten the same answer if he asked every Floridian if they wanted to vote themselves a Pay Increase. Of all the Counties voting, it was Duval County that voted NO! That was due to the great leadership of the Local Republican Party giving out information that showed the results of this Tax cut. Floridians got their tax cut and Cities across Florida suffered due to money they were expecting from State Government did not materialize. Services were cut, police were laid off, Firemen were not hired, local taxes were raised to cover the losses and the entire financial side of city governments had to be adjusted lower. This action was done all because Charlie Crist did not make the decision, did not have the guts to make the decision and sought an easy way out of making the choice. Floridians Suffered. Rick Scott arrived to deal with the mess left by Charlie Crist. He made choices that many did not like, but he made the choices. Like any good Commander he made the choice and took full responsibility for his actions. Responsibility: This is what a lead takes, it is the hallmark of a good leader and love him or hate him; Rick Scott took responsibility for every action he took. Charlie Crist cant make this claim. Today Florida is on solid footing, our economy is growing again and unemployment is steadily dropping. Do you really want to change Commanders? Do you really want to return to leadership by polls? Rick Scott is our Commander and I say lets return him to finish the job.
