RIP Bob Hoskins... From darkhorizons... Hoskins had a dry sense of humor, famously displayed in an anecdote recounted to Metro about Brian DePalmas The Untouchables where he was slated to be a replacement in case Robert De Niro decided not to play Al Capone. De Niro took the part and De Palma mailed Hoskins a £20,000 cheque as a thank you. That prompted Hoskins to call De Palma and ask if there were any more movies he didnt want him to be in.
