RIP Julie Harris. We owe you a great debt for your years of master acting on stage and screens, movies and television that have inspired us to see what actors can do to illuminate the human condition. I was blessed to see her play Emily Dickinson in her solo show by William Luce,when I lived in NYC, called the Belle Of Amherst. Having done a couple of solo shows I know how hard it is to do. And I believe over the years she did four solo plays. She was a real work horse as an actress and went out on tour many times across the country in shows where others would not go. I also was touched by her performance opposite James Dean in East of Eden.
