RIP Katherine Calabrese (aka Ma). 93 years old. My grandparents were second parents for me and my brother and sister. While my parents worked my days consisted of being at Ma and Pas house, drinking an endless supply of W pop, eating an endless supply of bacon, and watching old wwf pay per views on VHS that my grandpa would rent for me. She was a selfless, loving, devoted daughter, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She was a survivor (uterine cancer, breast cancer, knee and hip replacements). She was a tough, stubborn Italian. A fighter until the end. If I am half the person and parent that my grandparents were, I will have succeed in life. You finally no longer have the pains and are reunited with your husband of over 50 years. Heres how every visit ended with Ma: Me: bye ma. Love ya. Ma: love you too. Take some mints with you.
