RIP, Thomas Chippendale. One horse slipped up on the bend and crashed into railings. Thankfully that horse was okay. But the winner, Thomas Chippendale, crossed the finishing line and collapsed. He died from a suspected heart attack right there and then. The thing is, his jockey Johnny Murtagh jumped off him as soon as they had crossed the finish. Obviously he felt the horse die underneath him, and yet he did not bother to pull him up. He made him finish the race even though it cost the horse his life. And why? Because Johnny Murtagh is now top of the jockey list of winners at Royal Ascot. - Furious does not begin to describe how I feel!!!
