RMS Announcements Monday, March 17, 2014 Day – 1 Lunch Today Choice 1 – Chicken Nuggets Choice 2 – n/a Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Peas, Fruit Cup, School Made Dinner Roll, Salad Bar, Milk 1. 59 Students were represented at conferences Thursday night. Conferences will be held at Riverbend again on Tuesday, March 18 from 4:30 – 7:30. All students and parents are expected to attend one night! We will dismiss one hour early again on Tuesday for conferences. 2. Basketball Battle will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Wrestlers vs Club will battle on Tuesday and the 8th grade girl’s vs 8th grade boys on Wednesday. 3. Orders are still being taken for DVDs of Fame, Jr. Each DVD is $5. Proceeds go toward the Chicago trip. Orders may be e-mailed to Mrs. Oliver and are due by Friday. 4. Hy-Vee booklets are still available from 8th grade choir members! One more week!! 5. Congratulations to the Riverbend Jazz Band for providing a terrific performance at Ellsworth College on Friday night. You rocked it! Mrs. Evans has received many positive compliments about your talents. You should be proud. 6. Dance Team – you will not practice today after school. 7. Riverbend Middle School only will not hold classes on Friday as the staff will be participating in Leader In Me Training. 8. Anyone interested in playing Strykers Soccer see Mr. Dodd this week. 9. Middle School FFA Members, if you are interested in going to the State Leadership Conference on April 28 and 29 should see Mr. Dodd before Thursday. 10. Congratulations to the four ladies who went to the Eastern Iowa Science and Engineering Fair in Cedar Rapids this weekend. Lizzy Vogel, Anna Hackbarth, and Katie Meyer each received honorable mention awards, placing in the top half of the junior biological entries. Everyone worked hard and positively represented Riverbend Middle School.
