ROLL THE CHRISTMAS CHEER FOR ALL BELIZEANS I truly believe that just as the government find ways to include U.D.P standard bearers, who are not members of the House of Representatives , in the Christmas cheer program ,opposition P.U.P standard bearers , who are not members of the House should also be included in the undertaking. Such a step by any government would show that its serious about sharing the resources of the country with all Belizeans not only with its supporters. That is a just request because while the elected U.D.P Representatives love to sing to the press how they assist their constituents without regard for their political affiliation, the sad truth on the ground is that they make every effort to exclude P.U.P supporters from the Christmas cheer and other such programs. That is one of the main reasons why members of the ruling UDP video tape protest ,such as the recent demonstration for proper housing in Port Loyola that I organized in the division. That tape recording is now being carefully viewed to pinpoint PUP supporters for victimization with the government Christmas cheer and similar future initiatives. I also believe that in the future all the standard bearers of both major parties should be included in the Christmas cheers and other similar programs, because all of us U.D.P, P.U.P ,and independent persons have to pay back the loans that are used for Christmas cheer and other cheers promoted by the government. *** In the ongoing victimization by Boots Martinez in Port Loyola all persons who associate with Gilroy Usher, Sr and stand up for their rights including the right to proper housing have been denied Christmas cheer to buy toys for the kids or a little ham and turkey for their families. What a terrible attack on freedom of speech and association in Belize today !
