A date for the UFC womens bantamweight championship fight between Cat Zingano and current champ Ronda Rousey has been confirmed - Rousey vs Zingano will take place at UFC 182 on January 3rd next year. The card will be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champ Jon Jones and challenger Daniel Cormier. Zingano was originally slotted to challenge Rousey for her title after defeating Miesha Tate via TKO at the TUF 17 Finale in April last year. However, she was forced to withdraw from the fight due to injury. She returned at UFC 178 last month and regained her number-one contender status with a TKO win over Amanda Nunes. Rousey has successfully defended her UFC championship four times, most recently defeating Alexis Davis via KO in just 16 seconds at UFC 175 in July.
