ROTARY AND ONE DROP FOUNDATION FORM PARTNERSHIP This letter is from Catherine Bachand, the CEO of One Drop Foundation, the charitable arm of Cirque du Soleil. The Clubs in our District 5300 have worked hard to fund water projects through One Drop finding that One Drop provides the infrastructure to confirm that water projects are built correctly, properly maintained and that the people they serve are educated in maintenance, upkeep and developing water sources and solving sanitation issues. Congratulations to Fred Fukumoto from the LV Southwest Club who has been the face of this project and thank you to Julie Murray of Moonridge Group for her guidance in this project. Dear friends, I am delighted to share a very important and exciting piece of news with you. ONE DROP has launched a ground-breaking $20M partnership with Rotary, one of the largest investors in water and sanitation programs in the world. The “2020 Water Partnership” is a joint programming and fundraising effort to deliver unique and sustainable water access programs on three continents all the way to 2020. Through a unique financial model, each partner will raise $5M respectively and $10M jointly for a total investment of $20M towards the “2020 Water Fund”. This partnership brings together ONE DROP’s unique sustainability approach and expertise and the power of Rotary’s 1.2M member network in over 200 countries to bring lasting water access and economic empowerment to entire communities. The first program financed by the 2020 Water Fund is set to begin this fall in Mali and we will be sure to communicate our important milestones to you as it gets underway. Between our partnership with Water For People and now Rotary, there will be $36M in new direct investments in the countries where we operate, which will unleash millions more in local and corporate funding. The 2020 Water Partnership is another significant step in the implementation of our strategic vision of striking bold and ambitious partnerships in the next generation of our projects in order to achieve greater impact and sustainability in the field. Coming on the heels of the announcement of our partnership with Water For People, this partnership is one more way we are generating momentum and turning water into action at ONE DROP.
