ROUTINE MEDICATION When something becomes routine, there is a danger that it slips out of the area of your mind where you think about the event. Beware routine medications that escape scrutiny simply because you always give them. One should perhaps even question whether there should be any routines. The three major areas in which this applies for dogs and cats would be: Vaccination Wormers Insecticides/Acaricides For each or these routine medications there are alternatives and alternative methodologies. For each of these routine medications there is a downside. The cost-benefit ratio should be applied. When considering your dogs or cats health, no area of management should escape regular scrutiny and review. Nothing should be beyond the range of the enquiring mind.
