ROYALS, KU VS WSU, LUKE HARPER, WRESTLEMANIA XXX, WHATEVER.... The Royals won 86 games last year. Im not expecting anything less than 90 wins this year, 95 would be even better. Ive already circled the Tigers series in July and September circled as series I want to go to. Its cool but also strange knowing that the Tigers-Royals is the first real and valid rivalry that the team has had since their epic rivalry with the Yankees in the 70s and 80s. I dont count the Cardinals rivalry, though real, its not on the same level as an inter-league or inter-division rivalry. Speaking of the Royals-Cardinals.... Could they have picked any worse scheduling for those games this year? Awful. Those games should fall on a weekend. Listened to 610 this morning and it sounds like WSU is pushing for an annual game against both Kansas and Kansas State. I, for one, am all for this! I doubt KU vs WSU would garner much attention nationally, but in the state of Kansas that game would be HUGE! Ever since the Big 12 had membership issues, Ive also advocated for expansion to include both Wichita State and Memphis, so Id really welcome an annual game. The way the 610 folks made it sound, the KU and KSU athletic directors are the only thing holding these games back. MLB season is really close and Im ready. REALLY READY!!! Ive been predicting HUGE things for the WWEs Luke Harper for a while now. This guy is on the cusp of being a huge breakout star! He is big and powerful and has an amazing move set. His top rope powerbomb is a thing of beauty and I mark out every time I see it. He is going to have to break away from the Wyatt family, I believe, and have a few tweeks to his gimmick, but this guy has main event heel written all over him. And I LOVE to root for the heels! My flight out for New Orleans and WrestleMania XXX is coming fast. A week and a half to go and I cant wait! A small group of us started doing these annual college reunions a while ago and they are growing both in numbers and the epicness of the location. In addition to Mania, Im hoping to catch one of the many Ring of Honor shows that will be taking place Mania weekend in New Orleans as well as hit up a convention and meet some legends. Cheers!
