RUNOKO RASHIDI The core of my philosophy as a historian is that deep down inside of us, regardless of class and even in the worst seeming of us, all people want to feel proud of themselves and desire to know that they come from a people that has done something important in the world. Our ability to tap this desire is vital to our future and essential to our prosperity and well-being. --Runoko Rashidi Runoko Rashidi is a historian, anthropologist, research specialist, writer, world traveler and public lecturer focusing on the African foundations of humanity and classical civilizations. To date, he has visited 103 countries and lectured in fifty-nine, with notable successes throughout the continent of Africa, India, Australia, the US, Canada, the Caribbean and Central and South America. He is the author or editor of eighteen books.
