RV refrigerators work totally different than residential ones. - TopicsExpress

RV refrigerators work totally different than residential ones. They dispense more heat. RV types use heat to operate. Generally an AC heating element or a propane flame. Putting cooling fans behind your fridge helps keep it a little cooler. This is how I did it. First, you need to acquire the following parts. (1) one or more fans that are the type used in desktop computers. They are 12V DC and will hook right up. (2) An on off switch suitable for DC, and if you want the fans to go on an off automatically based on the temperature then a thermistor. I got mine off of eBay. The pictures will show you how I wired mine up.
