RY Tip Tuesday: For a mind blowing activity, grow your own crystals! Better yet, this process uses egg shells so its an all-natural substitute to plastic for your crystals to grow in! Three easy steps: 1) Cut your egg shells in half with an X-Acto knife. 2) Line the egg shells with a thin layer of Elmers glue and sprinkle with Alum (the crystal looking kind not powdered). Let dry over night. 3) Heat up 2 cups of water in a plastic container until its just about to boil. Add in 40 drops of the color you choose and 3/4 cup of Alum.
