Raaaaaah! This is driving me bonkers! Fellow music appreciators! Recently I came across a particular movement in an orchestra cover of one of my favourite video game soundtracks. Now, this particular part of the suite has got a certain style that Im sure is nearly identical to something Ive heard before! The part Im referring to is from this video: https://youtube/watch?v=yiSAtolLZI8 specifically starting from about 12:47, cresting when the flutes hit at 13:07, then continuing on until it finishes at 13:30. Theres something about that soaring melody, the way theres almost a break for the woodwind to come in with the bells. Its characteristic of a number of modern Japanese videogame composers, the SoulCalibur soundtracks specifically spring to mind. Im on a quest to find music with that similar feeling! One of soaring over some terrifically dynamic landscape! Strings and Woodwind working in concert!
