Race 1 wrap; Race 1 saw StandoffSiren02 led the field away and immediately Sgt AWE5OME 99 broke the rules. He jumped Ford Man 8888 at the start line and had the lead by turn one. He was immediately given a drive through penalty but made contact with StandoffSiren02 which saw the lead Holden driver rotate. StandoffSiren02 led the way for all of stint one, till a slow 44 was getting lapped. The 44 lost control on the straight and made contact with the 8. This caused a massive pile up. The 16, 8, 44 and 22 all made their stops under the safety car but the big winner was the 74 of Bunyip04. He was vaulted to the lead after pitting one lap early. The green flag was dropped and the 16 got a good restart which made him the leader. The 74 kept having looks at the 16 before he made a mistake which put the 74 hard in the wall. However, this caused a chain reaction of events. On the first corner, the 16 made a mistake and understeered off. The 22 and the 8 drove past, but the 8 made a mistake at the up hill chicane. After the top three drivers went off, then the 22 went off! After the lap of the satanic mistakes, the 22 had the lead. Quite a feat considering he was spun and had a drive-through penalty. The 16 though started applying the blowtorch, but his progress was halted when he locked his brakes on the grass, narrowly missing the 22. The 22 then held the led for the rest of the stint. The 16 was slowly catching up, till a safety car was called for the second last lap due to a damaged 44. With the green flag in the air, the 22 got away, however, a mistake from the 44 at the chicane, saw him take out the 74. This didnt stop the 16 and 22 from fighting as the 16 dived down the inside coming onto the back straight. The 22 left zero room so they made contact. The 16 however, let off so the 22 could get along side him for the straight. They raced down to the final chicane as the 16 had the lead, they came over the Chevrolet hill. The 22 saw a gap and went for it underneath the bridge. The 16, which was taking the racing line, turned across, not knowing the 22 was there. The result was the 16 going sideways. The 16 managed to save it before the 22 got his long awaited revenge and drove into him which spun him. The 16 was on two wheels coming into the final corner as the 22 struggled for grip. Then, the 8 comes down the hill, makes unavoidable contact and takes the win. The 16 JUST managed to get the 22 at the line to add insult to injury. 1st - Ford Man 8888 2nd - StandoffSiren02 3rd - Sgt AWE5OME 99 4th - Bunyip04 5th - 44
