Race for the Cure is something my family holds dear and will participate in every year we can. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998 and never quit fighting even when her body had just had enough. Its amazing the strength of the human spirit and its ability to never give up. Despite all the post I see surrounding the race and salaries of people who are heading it.... This race is way more than that. This is for her, my family, my patients, my friends, and all the people who are or were in the fight against cancer. I will cross that finish line and look up and smile because she lives on through us! :)
