Radio Ones Sheila Stewart Killed In Car Crash - 10/24 - UPDATED: DC radio personality and executive Sheila Stewart (right) was killed in a car accident in Atlanta Thursday morning. She was driving westbound on I-20 when her Mercedes Benz came to a full stop for an unknown reason, according to DeKalb County police. She was struck from behind by a westbound box truck. Stewart was pronounced dead at an area hospital. No one else was injured. The 20-year local radio veteran was the news and community affairs director for Radio Ones DC cluster, including WKYS, WMMJ, WPRS, WOL, and WYCB. Stewart had been staying with her sister in Georgia and doing her work from Atlanta. She did local news reports on WMMJ, 102.3 FM, during Tom Joyners morning show. A talented colleague, Sheilas contributions will long be felt by her Radio One family and the lives she touched through her various charitable connections and community organizations, Radio One founder Cathy Hughes said. dcrtv/
