Raiders 2014/2015 update I thought that whilst my phone keeps buzzing (strange choice of text alert), facebook messages keep beeping and email keeps binging that a few words were due. I may be known for the odd gag and wisecrack but there is nothing funny about the incredible support the Raiders fans, and one or two non Raiders, are giving to this appeal. I have had calls from teams that run a fans cooperative with advice and encouragement. Thanks guys. I have offers of additional challenge games to raise some income if we can squeeze them into our dead weekends....even using their ice if we cant organise any. The shirt sponsorship is almost complete and we may have to sign more players just to give you more players to sponsor. I have been around as a helper for a few seasons now and I cannot remember anything like this, and it is worth bearing in mind the supporter base is probably at an all time low. Warm up shirts are being considered for this season but it was suspected that these would be better for corporate style sponsors with full branding / logos front and rear. So if any of you are aware of a company that would be interested in that then get them to email [email protected] We know that this year the fans will need to dig in and get heavily involved to seek new fans and encourage new sponsors to secure the teams long term finances and future. Assuming we can get to the starting line I think the effort seen these last 8 days suggests we will get that support. Thank you all from all of the team John S
