Raincoat Gang Snatch Taiwanese Woman’s Purse..!! A gang of 4 snatchers that were wearing raincoats and were riding 2 motorbikes snatched a Taiwanese woman’s purse as she crossed the road. Bystanders chased after them but one of the riders took out a gun and fired into the air to threaten them. 8 September, 2014; at 12.30 a.m., Pol.Col. Tharmmanoon Mankhong was notified that there was an incident were culprits had a snatched a foreign tourist’s property. The incident occurred at the beginning of Soi 14 Na Kluea, Pattaya – Na Kluea road, Moo 5 Tambon Na Kluea, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with patrol officers and detective police team. At the incident the police found Miss Lu Wen Shou, aged 24, a Taiwanese female tourist. Miss Lu Wen Shou told the police that after she had walked out of a convenience store at the beginning of an incident Soi and crossed the road to go back to her room at Lantana hotel suddenly there were 4 male teenagers who were all wearing raincoats and rode 2 motorbikes. One of them snatched her grey handbag which contained 1 iPhone 5s, 3,000 THB, Taiwanese money 2,000 dollars, passport and various other documents before they quickly fled the scene up Soi 17 Na Kluea. Some bystanders chased after them but one of the thieves produced a gun and fired it into the air to warn them off. After initial investigation Pol.Col. Tharmmanoon Mankhong (Superintendent) had ordered a detective police team to inspect the CCTVs in the area and to question all the witnesses that chased after the 4 culprits. Pol.Col. Tharmmanoon also reiterated that police patrol teams should patrol during the night due to the high number of these crimes taking place.
