Raja Kaasheff, you have done it again my friend, you have brought to listeners another new genre of music, and this time in a language that is not your native tongue and have pulled this off with finesse. When I first saw the running time of this track, my initial thought was whether the track would run out of steam with such a long running time. That did not happen, and although a lot of the lyrics are repeated, the different permeatations, with subtle note changes kept the song going. The percussion used in this album is reminiscent of the style of recording used in one of your albums, Haseen Raatein, in particular your duet with Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan, Khoobsurat Hai Woh Itni. Although the taal may not be the same, the signature of the recording style is there. I loved the the vocals from most of the artists, and your choice of vocal recordings that were appropriate the vocal prominence deserved by individual artists. This resulted in a sense of good lead vocals and other supporting vocals gelling together into one smooth whole. I respect your judgement in the vocal work in the studio, and had been the recording engineer, I feel that my choices would have been similar to yours. I could rant on and on, but I feel that the track will speak for itself. I know that this song will grow on you the more times that it is played. This song will survive the test of time, and will not fade away. The only thing that I question is the use of Amar Shonar Bangla at the beginning of the song. Was that necessary? The song has enough substance in the composition and lyrics without the necessity of our National Anthem to bolster the song or require it to set the scene. Good luck Kaasheff. Keep it up.
