Rand Paul: I agree with Reagan’s idea that no country should mistake U.S. reluctance for war for a lack of resolve. An empty suit policy of Peace through Strength achieves no peace. We have seen this to be true as we watch Obama bow to terrorists and dictators while the Islamic world continues to demonstrate their long embraced belief that Peace is achieved ONLY through OPPRESSION. It is not a good thing that Obama has departed from Americas long embraced belief that a policy of “Peace through Strength” works only when backed by actual strength and a willingness to exhibit a readiness to use strength.
