Randburg, Johannesburg: PRODUCT MANAGER (ITEM) Job Purpose: Top calibre candidate to drive an aluminium based product range in South African Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and backend (stock control) management of product. Minimum Requirements: -Male (Preference to NON BEE males) -Matric / Grade 12 -Fully bilingual -Minimum 2 years experience within product management essential (preferably Security solutions industry) -Minimum 5 years sales experience essential -Marketing/Sales Diploma advantageous -Technical Qualification advantageous -Experience working within an engineering market advantageous -Experience in product development, strategic planning, and implementation preferred -Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) -Strong project management, group facilitation and time management skills -Analytical and problem solving skills -Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency -Self-starter, highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment that is continually changing -Target focused and goal orientated -Able to do quarterly product stock planning -Able to build relationships on all levels within the organisation -Good report writing skills -Ability to sell technical solutions essential -Ability to formalize product strategies with customers -Must have a proven sales track record -Computer literacy in MS Office (Full Package), Windows, Design software -Stable employment record -To start as soon as possible Duties: -Reporting to Sales Manager -Low level assistance on product development for market/product based solutions -Assist marketing department on product launches and product related activities / events -Work with marketing department to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer -Manage key accounts -Weekly sales reports for the management team -Assist implementing low level strategies within client base and sales area -Ability to implement strategies at a senior management level -Work towards a sales target -Managing product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities -Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. -Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning. -Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. -Analysing potential partner relationships for the product Salary: R 20 000.00 – R 30 000.00 per month CTC (Depending on experience) Benefits: Company vehicle, petrol, provident fund and medical aid E-mail detailed CV and indicate Reference CR0873 and your salary expectation.
